[Put first things first.] Prepare your work outside and get it ready for yourself in the field; and afterward build your house and establish a home” Proverbs 24:27 AMPC.
Therefore, dear Lord, thank you for ‘giving’ us wisdom how we must put “first things first.”
I will establish my priorities and proceed in an orderly manner to build my house by coming into alignment with Your Word.
First, I will prepare my work outside and get it ready for myself in the field. In doing so, Father God, I pray for the correct building materials, equipment, machinery and workers to till the land. I also pray for financial stability, accountability and discernment in Jesus name. Then, after I meet these priorities, I will build my home.
Dear Lord, we also realize that these things apply to those that are building their careers or businesses and must prioritize their work in “the field” of their occupations.
Thus, we pray that they will first cultivate their “field of work” by building financial stability or giving themselves to work and then proceed in building their house or home.
Correspondingly, we pray that we will successfully develop our business or the work of our calling and then venture to build our house according to Proverbs 24:27.
Lord God, You revealed that before King David could build his house, he first unified the kingdom … (2 Samuel 7).
Like unto David, before I build my house, I will put God’s work or my business in order first and then start my construction project.
Dear Lord, give us the anointing of strategic planning so that we can proceed with our building project in Your divine order in Jesus name. We pray that You will direct us toward executing and establishing our affairs by first getting them in order.
Regarding those that have farms, we pray that they will first get their fields ready, next plant their crops as a source of revenue and then build their house. Your Word says, “Don't build your house and establish a home until your fields are ready, and you are sure that you can earn a living” (Proverbs 24:27 Good News Translation GNT).
Regarding those with churches or ministries, we pray dear Lord that You will guide certain ones to build their work outside of their ministry occupations and establish it and continue on to build their house. On the other hand, we pray that if their church or ministry is their sole and divine occupation, they will establish a financial plan with their salary and venture on to build their house. King Solomon first built God’s temple and then his other buildings.
He did not begin to build his house until he finished the house of God so nothing might hinder his holy work (1Kings 7:1; 9:10). Therefore, dear Lord, we pray for Your divine wisdom in our life’s endeavors.
Through Your wisdom dear Lord, my fields shall be ready, my crops planted and my house shall be built with Godly planning.
“For which of you, wishing to build a farm building, does not first sit down and calculate the cost [to see] whether he has sufficient means to finish it?” Luke 14:28 AMP
In counting the cost of the construction, dear Lord we trust that You will supply our every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 AMP).
Lord Christ, we ask You to direct us financially with good stewardship in the building process of the house or structure.
We thank You for teaching us how to count the cost (Luke 14:28) so that we might finish the construction with great success in Jesus name. Give us Your wisdom, regarding the construction details of the house and give us Your understanding for the establishment of it in Jesus name.
“Wisdom has built her [spacious and sufficient] house; She has hewn out and set up her seven pillars” Proverbs 9:1 AMP.
“Through [skillful and godly] wisdom a house [a life, a home, a family] is built, And by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], Proverbs 24:3 AMP.
Dear Lord, Your Word says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it …” Psalm 127:1 AMP. This also applies to a church.
Your Word told us “‘Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit” Jeremiah 29:5 AMP.
Dear Lord, we will build the house or structure of our dream, because You have predestined these blessings for Your children.
You promised in Your Word, “They shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat [the fruit]. For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and My chosen and elect shall long make use of and enjoy the work of their hands” Isaiah 65:21-22 AMPC.
In righteousness, we ask You to build our house by Your preordained structural plans that fit the purpose and plan that You have called us to.
“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his [upper] chambers by injustice, who uses his neighbor’s service without wages and does not give him his pay [for his work], 14 Who says, I will build myself a wide house with large rooms, and he cuts himself out windows, and it is ceiled or paneled with cedar and painted with vermilion” Jeremiah 22:13-14 AMPC.
Therefore, dear Lord, our house shall be built in righteousness, with equity or fairness, integrity, truthfulness and loyalty toward You in Jesus name.
“For [of course] every house is built and furnished by someone, but the Builder of all things and the Furnisher [of the entire equipment of all things] is God” Hebrews 3:4 AMPC.
Dear Lord, we give ourselves over to You totally as our Master Builder of all things so that Your divine fingerprint will be upon our construction in Jesus name. You are also the Furnisher; because only through You can we have all the equipment that we need throughout the construction.
Your Word says, “For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building” 1 Corinthians 3:9 AMP.
Spiritually, dear Lord, we serve in your field or vineyard and plant the seed of Your Word into the hearts of souls. Another comes and waters that seed with the Word, You bring the increase and a great harvest of souls comes forth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). You have called us as co-laborers with each other and gave us certain purposes in the earth.
Then, on the other hand, physically, we are laborers establishing a crop and watering it for the physical harvest to come forth.
Father God, You are the one Who grows the crops, whether it is a crop of souls or a crop in a field. Through You, the produce of the field is created.
You are the Owner of the field, the Master Builder or Architect of souls!
Your Word says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” Ephesians 2:10 NLT.
Therefore, dear Lord, we know that we are Your building or construction project by which You are building us into Your perfection.
You have cultivated us into becoming spiritual mature children of God.
As a result, we are the spiritual field by which the gospel is planted.
Lord, You are the One Who caused the gospel to take root and grow in us by bringing forth our faith in You unto everlasting life.
As a result, we being Your spiritual cultivated field—Your garden, Your vineyard and Your building, we have also been enabled to cultivate fields, gardens and vineyards.
This corresponds with us cultivating the gospel field of Your kingdom.
Through Your plan, You put that mantle upon us to work in Your vineyard to cultivate souls as well as to cultivate the fields that You gave unto us.
“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The thoughts and plans of His heart through all generations” Psalm 33:11 AMP.
Your plan is a perfect plan that cannot be altered or touched.
Father God, You said, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV.
Therefore, we will follow Your blueprint, both spiritually and physically so that we will have great success in our calling and in the physical endeavors of our lives.
You told us, “Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,” Colossians 3:23 AMP.
In obedience to Your Word, we will work from our soul and put forth our very best effort, because we do it for the glory of You and not for men.
We declare and decree that we will work hard at the task that is before us with all diligence of heart in Jesus name.
“A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the LORD directs his steps and establishes them” Proverbs 16:9 AMP.
Dear Lord, I pray, as my mind or heart plans my way and as I journey through life, direct my steps and establish them for Your glory.
I receive Your Word unto myself, “You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out” Deuteronomy 28:6 AMP.
Dear Lord God, You have already decreed in your Statutes our blessings if we are righteous before You, thus, guide our feet in the way of holiness.
As a result, we will be pleasing to You and will have peace in Jesus name!
You have decreed peace unto our house or dwelling place as well as long life. Thus, the house I build shall be a house of peace in Christ!
Your Word states, “… and this is what you shall say, ‘Have a long life! Peace be to you, and peace to your house, and peace to all that you have” 1 Samuel 25:6 AMP.
You also commanded peace unto the homes that the disciples would enter. “Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace [that is, a blessing of well-being and prosperity, the favor of God] to this house’ Luke 10:5 AMP.
We declare and decree that peace shall be upon the homes we build in Jesus name! Your Word tells us “…Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit” Jeremiah 29:5 AMP.
Paul as an apostle spoke spiritually regarding the building of the kingdom. He stated, “According to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation, and now another [man] is building upon it. But let each [man] be careful how he builds upon it, 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)” 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 AMPC.
Father God, first, it is our desire to have a sound and good foundation in You, then our house structure.
Show us any type of land issues, liens, land irrigation problems, flood zones, sinkholes, pollution problems, 5-G technological problems, communications network problems, territorial problems with certain people groups, foundational problems and/or any other type of issues that we should know about.
Father God, we ask You to send contractors that You have assigned to us in Jesus name.
Give us contractors after Your own heart and cause them to do honest and reliable work with great integrity in Jesus name!
Do not allow any fraudulent practices to destroy our construction plans that are perpetrated by certain contractors.
Dear Lord, safeguard the contractors so that no physical harm comes to them while they are building our structures in Jesus name.
Bless the works of their hands and anoint them for the task, because You are the God of perfection Who fulfills Your promises to us.
Therefore, through Your mercy and loving-kindness, You have perfected that which concerns me and You did not forsake the works of Your own hands that which You have ordained (Psalm 138:8 AMPC).
I ask You dear Lord to be the Architect and Builder that works through the contractors in the name of Jesus! You are called an Architect and Builder in Hebrews 11:10 AMP/AMPC.
Allow part of this construction to consist of food storehouses for this age.
Correspondingly, dear Lord, teach me how to properly build storehouses, according to Your plan and purpose.
“The Lord will command the blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all that you undertake, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you” Deuteronomy 28:8 AMP.
“He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me” Psalm 18:19. Therefore, dear Lord, in the large place that You have given me, I will store food and necessary items for hard times that are approaching.
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” 2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV.
God will grant mercy to our house or family (2 Timothy 1:16 KJV, AMP).
A scripture for those seeking mercy, rest and peace in a new home with good husbands:
Father God, like unto the prayer of Naomi, we pray for Your handmaidens or daughters and that they each might find rest and peace in houses of their own with good husbands (Ruth 1:9-11AMP).
A scripture that brings attention to one setting their household and ministry in order:
1 Timothy 3:5 AMPC speaks about having divine order in a household, “For if a man does not know how to rule his own household, how is he to take care of the church of God?”
Prayer: Dear Lord, we pray that the head of the household will know how to rule his own household, which parallels with him being able to take care of the church of God. We also pray that You quicken him in the realm of divine order so that he might walk upright before You. Dear Lord, till the ground of his heart in holiness. We pray that when the time comes for him to build or purchase a home, he will first be built up in You so that the home will be like a sanctuary of peace, which would flow over into the church.
Lord God, remove all bondages from the heads of households that will hear Your voice and obey. Through their obedience to You, cause the purpose and plan that You have for them to go forth unhindered in Jesus name.
You revealed to us that You came that we might have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, until it overflows (John 10:10 AMP).
Dear Lord Christ, I receive the abundant life that overflows through You!
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” Psalm 84:11 AMP. I receive all that You bestow upon me in Jesus name!
Lord God, You also promised Your people houses they did not fill, wells they did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which they did not plant and they eat to the full and were satisfied (Deuteronomy 6:11 AMP).
Lord, I will dream and envision it and I trust that You will build my house for Your glory so as to bless me in righteousness.
Thus, I will stay in righteousness – pray – and place no limitations on You, because of Your promises to me! Dear Lord, I delight myself in You and therefore, You will give me the desires and petitions of my heart (Psalm 37:4 AMP). I receive all these promises in Your name. Amen!
